Q & A

Q: How do you start your day?
A: A cup of hot Americano—the warmth that gets you energized and ready to start each day.

Q: Where do you usually hang out?

A: The internet: searching for information and browsing interesting people and things.

Learning is an essential daily practice: keeping up with the world’s ever-growing body of information, absorbing it, and updating my perspective. Art is not confined to my own consciousness; connecting with the world is my philosophy.

Q: Which restaurant do you go to most often?
A:Mingde Vegetarian RestaurantGradually, I’ve been wanting to eat more vegetarian meals to put my eco-friendly values into practice.

Q: What do you do for fun after work?
A: Daydreaming! Just zoning out alone in a space~~~ With so much information to take in every day and everything changing so quickly, whenever I have free time, I spend a while doing nothing, letting my mind settle and sorting through my emotions. It’s similar to the concept of Zen meditation, but I prefer to simply zone out and reset. I really love daydreaming.

Q: What’s a book you’ve read recently? Did you have any realizations or thoughts after finishing it?
A: Semiotics—learn the signs behind labels, and then break free from them! Everything in the world speaks through signs. When we are confined within a set of conventions, how can we transform them through creativity? It starts with understanding them!

Q: What do you find most interesting or appealing about Taiwan?
A: Convenience stores. Taiwan’s convenience stores are like a kaleidoscope. I’m sure everyone can relate to how convenient they are. When I lived in Milan, I often found myself missing Taiwan’s convenience stores.

Q: What do you look forward to most when staying at a hotel?

A: Design and comfort. Whether for a business trip or a relaxing getaway, a hotel is a home away from home in an unfamiliar place, where you can truly unwind. That’s why comfort is so important. Leaving your usual surroundings and staying in an environment filled with distinctive design styles feels like exploring an urban jungle, and it’s a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Q: What is your impression of the hotels under Taipei Inn?
A: Each hotel has its own distinctive character and is located in a very convenient area. Hotels that place great importance on art and culture allow travelers from around the world to experience the warmth and culture of the local community. They focus not only on comfortable service, but also on conveying the spirit of Taiwanese art and culture. They break away from the conventional image of a hotel and represent the value of Taiwan’s land.
